It honors the legend of Saint Brigid (Mary of the Gael), born in the mid-5th century, who tradition tells wove the first Saint Brigid's cross from rushes while keeping vigil by her dying father's bedside in prayer. The "starlight" detail at the center creates a dimensional focal point where the arms meet, and flowing knotwork runs across all four arms. 19mm height x 16mm width (3/4" x 5/8").

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in sterling silver at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY.
