It honors the legend of Saint Brigid (Mary of the Gael), born in the mid-5th century, who tradition tells wove the first Saint Brigid's cross from rushes while keeping vigil by her dying father's bedside in prayer. The "starlight" detail at the center creates a dimensional focal point where the arms of the cross meet, and flowing knotwork runs across all four arms. 28mm height × 23mm width (1 1/8" × 15/16").

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in sterling silver at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY.
