This brooch from Scottish artisan Russel Caldwell of Mithril Jewelry captures that tradition in a pair of stylized herons facing each other across a circular field, their bodies dissolving into knotwork below. Caldwell's Glasgow studio brings rigorous Celtic scholarship to each piece, and the heron's characteristic stillness and poise reads clearly in this design's composed, balanced form.

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in sterling silver by Russel Caldwell, Mithril Jewelry, Glasgow, Scotland.
